It's often been said that "simplicity" brings out the best. Thats how I view this shot. I just love it. I appreciate the "art" in this shot. I too am a amateur guitarist, so know what you mean by your "other love". I have not shot with a macro lens before, but your shot inspires me to do so. The texture in the wood areas is outstanding, the dark contrast outlining the guitar body very effective. Nice work.
