This series of 3 shots is very strong. you positioned yourself well for this photo. The standard 45 degree view would have lost the passengers face. Nice work.

The clarity of this shot is amazing. Great DOF. I love the composition you have chosen also (or did it choose you?) It really shows the action of the event with the extra foreground. I have not seen such an event before. It is sort of like a side car on a motorcross bike. Although the faces are a bit dark, that is certainly understandable. Overall I think the lighting is very good. I especially like the brightness of the number sign and the colors in the helmets. Did you have to jump out of the way?
