Another Point, a better camera and no charge for film and developement. My shooting has improved markedly since:

hi Margaret, I didn't make it up to Johnson Canyon as i was heading up to Jasper right away on business. so unfortunately i couldn't get a shot of it this time around. Although i thought of you as i drove by. ;)

yes Jim, a good camera seems to really help and using lesser cameras before, has only helped me by forcing me to come to terms with its limitations and really allowing me to see the possibilities with the D70. Gotta drive a Valiant before the Porsche

seems to work for me... the metering in difficult situations is amazing. There is no way I could have captured many of the shots that you will see of mine in future submissions without it. But then I'm not a pro....just the same I like what I see coming out of it!!! good luck I don't think that you will be displeased Rabat.

yes, Den the difference this camera makes over the last one is unbelievable! Even though I paid $1500 for the Nikon coolpix 4500 it is like a rustic toy compared to the D70....So enjoy your new camera... now you have to come back and reshoot your last trip! ha-ha

Yipeee. My D70 should arrive tomorrow but I'm still going to have to wait for the 70-300 lens.

Hi Den ...yes I'm back...and I bought a D70 Nikon as I was tired of fighting my old camera. AND WHAT A PLEASURE...this camera is!!! I spent 3 days shooting images in the Rockies. During that time I took 2500 photos with the new camera. Had a great time!
