Great pic Sharon, I like vertical cropping on seascapes to focus the attention on sand through to sky.

You're welcome! :)

Throw away the rules Sharon! LOL! :) See how brilliant images are created when you do not follow what others tell you to??? And a quick snap? Well, that adds to the magnificence of your obvious talent!

I also make vertical panoramas, but have only a couple posted here in UF, and not of nature-scapes.

Yes, I was certain you had used a polarising filter for that very deep sky, which cannot be achieved in many other ways (unless one uses a pp programme for example...)

I Love your work, and look forward to seeing more of it. :)

Cheers!
Aniko :)

Hi there, thanks so much for the kind words! This is the first time I've done a vertical panorama and it was all in a bit of a rush, quick-snap really. That's why the rule of thirds has been broken because this is the composition I got when I joined my 3 photos together. I'm normally rather strict on rule of thirds but this ine seemed to work pretty well. Sky was achhieves using a polarising filter by the way.
Thanks again :0)

Exceptional shot Sharon!!!

I am all for vertical panoramas. I am all for breaking every photographic "rule" ever invented! :)

This image is almost cut in half with the line of the water (and poinyt of interest rock) being close to exactly central. I wonder how many people would find this "unacceptable" as it does not comply with the photographic law of "rule of thirds".... lol... :)Persoanlly, I find it appealing, and strengthening to a perfectly exposed, with exceptional tones.... (wow... that sky and the textures really grab me!)scene, that also has a fabulous DOF, leading the eye clearly and concisely through from foreground interest and into that deep sky with the precious cloud formations!

Awesome, Sharon!

Best Wishes,
Aniko :)
