Thank you, Brigitte! I agree, many of the forms do seem to imitate other objects. Or maybe those other objects imitate the desert forms?

Best to you,
Dave

Well it doesn't remind me of Paris, Texas but of a famous American photographer who used plate cameras. Except for the wide angle, which really suits this scene.
Regards, Gary

L atraducción sería "el fondo de la bolsa" y es una peli vieja de POlanski pero muy buena. Te la recomiendo. Es de su época más oscura. Saludos.M.

This is another classic desert landscape, Dave. Well done... I really love the tones in this. I have spent many days in the desert, I love the simplicity of it. Often times one can imagine the formations as some kind of object that people are more familiar with - this reminds me of a proud battleship on the ocean, or maybe an ocean liner with it's stacks standing up tall. Again, excellent photography.
Warm regards,
Brigitte

Yeah, that's why "paris texas" of Wenderse is strange and unique.
find the DVD and look it.
it's a film for all of life,
believe me...

Thanks, Kiarang but believe me, the REAL Paris is not a desert. It is a flat, green, almost ugly place, like the rest of the terrain around Dallas. Here is a photo taken just outside Paris, Texas from a few years ago on an assignment.

It is only in the movies that they make Paris slook like it is an old west desert town.

Thank you kindly, Kiarang. I don't think I saw that movie but I have been in Paris, TX a few times. I can tell you, there is nothing like this in Paris. Hollywood oftentimes portrays Texas as having landscape like this, usually shot in New Mexico or Arizona. But east Texas, where Paris is, is very boring.

I remember as a kid watching western movies supposedly based in Texas and always thought Texas was just like this picture. When I got older and went to Texas, I was shocked to find out it looked nothing like this.

Best,
Dave

Gracias, Marcelo. Hmm, no recuerdo esa película “callejón sin salida”. Pero entonces, me no consideran un ventilador grande de la película.

That is great too, the fealling of depth and the sphere like shape again from that great lens, I love that effect, it gives so nicely the fealling of 3D into 2D image, great shot.
