Child trafficking is not limited to developing countries; the U.S. and Europe deal with domestic trafficking issues and also serve as destinations for trafficked children from abroad. Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa are also becoming hot spots for child trafficking… Often, captors will threaten, beat and starve new recruits to condition them for the fate that awaits: sex with multiple customers every day. Eventually this abuse “breaks” the children. They learn to force a smile for the pedophiles, sex tourists and others that frequent their establishments... Most countries in the world are involved – they may be a source of vulnerable children, a place they pass through, or a destination for trafficked children. Unfortunately, even the United States plays it’s part when U.S. ‘sex tourists’ visit countries like Thailand or Cambodia and have sex with children, including those trafficked into the sex industry.” But it’s NOT just a statistic… each of those 1.2 million children once had a home, and a mother, a face and a name, and if people keep fighting for them, a future too. It’s our job to speak up for them… "speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those who are perishing." Proverbs 31:8. And as Ronald Reagan once said “don’t be afraid to see what you see” but not only that, don’t be afraid to DO something about what you see. A very touching image! The eyes show the appeal and the uncertainity. You have composed the image well to make it so strong in its presentation. The image speaks it all. I dont think I have seen an image that has portrayed a message better!
So sad to know that it is so widely spread and the statistics are scary and horrific.

Excellent image altho sad dear ~Rachel~ It's so hard to really face this horrible crime but I want to help...and I applaud your great 'about' to make us more aware of what is happening to soo many of our children..... By keeping this inforomation known as you are doing is a begining of helping ...A sad image of these big dark Eyes :(( Soooooo young --and sooooo old....
