About Another intense storm system went through again tonight. After last night's bust at shooting lightning, this was a Godsend. This was shot from my ranch.

Thank you, Ahmed... a lot of times, I remove power lines but I think they make this picture.

Thank you, Shirley. phew. Thought I'd get dissed on a crooked horizon on this one. I've been holding my breath for two days. It's nice to breath again. ahhhhh.

Thanks, Rebecca. I am so sorry to hear you are with the Big Headed Alien Lightning Lovers Alliance. They have no acronym. Had you joined the Big Headed Alien Lightning Lovers SOCIETY, their acronym is BHALLS

:)

Thank you, ck. I was in AZ last weekend and got to watch some very nice storms. We are in the same daily monsoon season as you there in AZ.

Best wishes,
Dave

Thank you, Bildee. About 2000 shots to get about 30 different bolts. And only a handful of those were anywhere near decent.

Best wishes,
Dave

Dave I just lurve lightning storms!!
This is a great shot, I like the way that the foreground and sky are black, creating a natural 'border' effect. Fab colour too, and the power lines make this extra special.
Very groovy!
cheers, Beks (Queen of the Big Headed Alien Lightning Lovers Alliance)

We've been having some awesome storms in AZ as well. This is a great shot. Lookings like it made contact with the electrical lines. Love the criss cross and spreading veins.

Fantastic shot; I know just how challenging lightning can be to shoot, it must've been a very active system. The composition and colors are excellent.
