About The last one of the series "In Hergiswil". I have the impression that the weaker focus in the foreground made the depth feel deeper. Any comments would be very welcome.

Thanks a lot for the detailed comment, Alix. I only don't understand what you mean with "that tanish object on the left" - I only see a tree and grass there? :-/

Still I perceive the tree on the right as very important, especially when concentrating on the red sitting bank and viewing the tree only with the "corner of the eye". It looks very "life" to me then.

Best wishes and thanks again,

Nick

I like your composition with the path angling through the scene, Nick, and the placement of the bench.

Beautiful shot Nick! I like the red bench facing the water here. The scene gives a nice feel.

The DOF effect you used does make the image feel deeper, but I find the tree in the foreground is almost a little distracting because with it out of focus it detracts from the image more than it supports it, especially as it is cutting off that tanish object on the left, otherwise it is a very interesting composition, and the colors are fantastic
