About Shot tonight in my backyard, looking straight up my tall trees. The sky was so dark and the stars so bright, I couldn't resist.

My parting shot, road trip in a few hours. To all my friends, I'll see you in about a week.

39 minute, 23 second exposure at f5.0, ISO 100. Lots of noise and lots of hot pixels. HA! After John Hatz compliments my camera. :)

Oh Dave!!!

It worked out so magnificently!!!

I could be corny and so "Oh my stars" but it would undermine the brilliance of taht which you have captured.

Just gorgeous, Dave...

Loving Hugs ~ Safe Trip ~ Miss You Already!

Thank Michele. No, no sleep last night. waiting to be given a green light this morning.

To shoot long exposures, you need a steady tripod, an external shutter release cable that locks and use your bulb mode in manual. The external shutter release is imperative since holding your finger on the shutter can shake the camera even on a tripod.

Hopefully I am on the road soon.

See ya
