Well from the thumpnail that shot looks not interesting however you get here a very nice composition, you put the cambles into your frame PERFECTLY and makes a nice clear shot...also nice as the cables shine the lighting and under long exposure looks white. Excellent and original photo, hmmmmm...... I think you must try that using very long bulb exposure like your last photo...to take the stars in orbil like lines!!! :-D That really was amazing work!!!!! Cheers!

Thank you, Biswendu for your concern. As I described to the other guy who questioned the stars, they are streaked in the original size photo. The reduced photo makes them appear not.
I am attaching a 100% size of a crop of this photo for you to see the motion of the stars. Please take a look.

Do yo think that shutter speed of 18s will give such kind of static image? there is suppose to be motion blur effect on the stars, since the earth is moving.

Thank you, Ajanta. Actually, it is an 18 second exposure as stated in the "about". I had forgotten to change it in the data portion.
In the full-size photo, there are visible trails, however very short. In my 55 second shot the previous night, trails are much longer (by nearly 3 times) and visible in the reduced-size photo.

Thank you, Roby... It may be a stretch to be in this project but really, it has all three "hots" required by the project title: Hot wires (everyone knows electric lines are hot and these even glow in the moonlight), it was a hot night, AND I am sure the photo had some hot pixels. :)
Best to you, Dave

Thank you, Cathy!! Wow, I am so glad you liked it... When I spotted these wires on the bluff I was shooting night shots from, I really thought it looked great... I'm so glad others think so too... shooting power lines is not something that I'm crazy about.

Cool shot. This image nearly escaped my notice, the thumbnail is very dark. It is quite a lovely surprise when you open it and find this. CC

Thank you, Michele. It is always a gamble trying to post something this dark considering all the different monitors used by various people. On my monitor, it looks very good, very clear. Even the black wires below the bright silver ones show up, contrasting against the dark blue sky.
Probably a mistake to post this one. I'm forever ruined. I'm throwing out my equipment come garbage day.
Best, Dave

Excellent image Dave-- I think You've found your niche in photography...the 'Nite Shooter' ... well that was just off the top of my head I could come up with a better name :)) I had to turn my lights out to view this one and it was beautiful but other-wise hard to view as I have over-head lites that shoot right onto the monitor ...not such a good idea always....
Anyway I love the shot...I think it's excellent, and I guess I am missing out on a lot .......
I wish You a Happy 4th too ....maybe you can get some real cool fire-works shots Michele~

Gracias, Alicia.
