About Another shot of the "skeletal remains" that I posted earlier. This was taken a few moments before when the sun was setting.

Putting this in Critiquers Corner reference the sun spots on the ground off to the right. I have chosen to leave them in but wondered what opinions people have. Should they be cloned out or in this type of photo, are they not something that detract from the photo?

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I would not removed them from the picture. I see the sun ray instead taking our eyes towards the wreck, therefore making the final focus point. I would call thr Sun rays "transitional distraction", rather taking our focus awayfron the main sunject. It is like a path to the wreck

One of your best for me Dave. As for the sun spots, I'd leave them in. I mean you weren't intending the image to be an accurate portrayal of what the eye sees and they certainly add to the ambience. Anyway, it's obviously the spirit of the dead car returning home after a nights wandering.

wonderful job Dave. The colored spot should be distractive, but love it anyway :)

In this case, with the magnificent sun flare, the spots don't distract at all. Gorgeous shot, Dave!

Another great image in the serie Dave. I think, the sun spots are nice here if you want it to stay. Is not an accident is a choice...

Excellent HDR tutorial, not like mine.... ;)
Best wishes

Beautiful Arnold. I don't think that the sun spots add or take away from the composition. So, it's your choice. Cheers, Andree

Hi Dave,
Personally I LIKE the sun spots...I would NOT take them out they contribute a lot to this very nice image ..

Hi Dave,

Excellent work. Lovely composition, and great lighting and colours.
With regards to the sunspots, I'd say its a question of personal taste in a shot like this. They're not particularly bothering or spoiling anything in this shot. I'd leave them.

Cheers,
Stef
