About Hopeman, Moray, Scotland.

A rising tide and a blustery day brought a moderate swell to the shores of the Moray Firth and with water swirling around the foreground rocks making them shiny so that they pick up the light of the setting sun, I realsied I had an opportunity to get down low and intimate adding a bit of dynamism to the scene.

NEW!! Photographic Holidays at TRANSIENT LIGHT.

Hi Laura the camera I use is a Pentax 67II which produces transparencies of 6 x 7cm that is approximately 4.5 x the area of a conventional 35mm slide.

A 45mm lens has the same field of view as a 22mm lens on a 35mm film camera. So as you can see it really is quite a wide angle lens.

Hi Ian,

This image has such amazing depth of field! How did you get such a wide shot using a 45mm lens? I realize that you shoot film vs. digital, but even with my Minolta X700, my 50mm lens doesn't even come close to this! Anyway, this is a great shot and the exposure is just perfect!

Regards,
Laura
