It is funny how sometimes you are so caught up in the moment you don't really realise what you've captured until you go back and review the shots. When I was taking this one, I was completely focused on his expression and it was only after I looked at it on the computer did I notice the swirl in his fur that convinced me to post this picture.

Was quite close, probably only about 15-20 feet away. Plenty close enough to hear the big male snoring.

Love him, looks like you can just reach out and pet him. You must be fairly close to the animals since you're only using the 70 - 300 lens.
