Thanks for the visit and comment Marcio. I like the fact that you describe it as unusual.

Hi Rina,
Yeah, I've always been attracted to the "odd/weird" side of photography going back to the days when I first realized people were using cameras for more than just taking family snapshots. I suppose it's the variety in photography that keeps us interested.

Both Pan Giannakis and Fadel are two of my favourites here. There are so many names that I recognize now, and so many that have come and gone in the last couple of years.

Yes, a lot of his work is outstanding. Tress makes the kind of images that stay with you for years. I suppose that is obvious for me to try and copy his stuff 30 years later. :)

Thanks for the nice comment.

Andre, hello! So good to see you exploring the dark side. Found it really interesting reading Nick's interpretation of "Teddy Bear Dream". I couldn't even begin to give such a detailed analysis. However, I can say that this process works well to deliver a chilling experience. And for me, enjoyable.

You're probably already familiar with Pan Giannakis here? Like Fadel (and most likely many others I'm not aware of yet), and now yourself, have this process down to an art form. Similar in some ways but yet completely different.

Just looked up Arthur Tress and browsing his online portfolio now... The Dream Collector series is amazing!

Thanks again Kes,
I think this is my favourite of the three. But that could change.

Oh yeah, I like the abstract. Here there's more of a question of what it is...I like that. Bear murder she wrote. Off to #1.

Thanks Fadel,
I'm glad you like the series... I don't mind giving a little credit for inspiration. You mentioned me a couple of times for inspiring you to shoot some old trucks :)

Very sad and beautiful series Andre! I think the choice of texturing is perfectly suitable for the subject. Thank you very much for the mention, and really you don't have to do that. I learned a lot from many people on this site, and I now feel guilty for not mentioning them :)

Thanks Ray,
I think I'm leaning towards this one a bit too.
I've attached the original to another comment, so you can see the effects of the post processing.

Thanks Gary,
I'm glad you like the series. :)
Wouldn't face down be cruel?
I actually found this bear along with the other one in the other images exactly in this position. No posing or proping them up was needed.
I'll attach the original for a slightly different flavour.

You are one sick dude, and you've made me laugh. How about a face-down version?

Thanks Annemette,
I'm still not sure which one of the three I prefer. I'm leaning towards this one right now.

Indeed a tragedy, a drowning teddybear by the looks of it;-) Creative idea and work, Andre. I like the texturse and special soft tone that moves across the images.
Take care
Annemette
