About Manual Infrared shot taken using my Hoya R72 IR filter. Slightly overexposed, but still pretty good. I use PSE to adjust the Levels and then swapped the Red and Blue channels to get this.

Hi James,

you're the master of the 707 ;-)

So far people always reported, that it would be nearly impossible to take nice IR Channel Shift images in non-nightshot mode due to heavy noise. Neat Image is your friend?

Nice image ... btw ... the overexposure is in an exceptable limit, I think.

Greetings from Germany
Chris

And the "this" you ended up with is really neat. Very unusual, and very attractive - Bob T.

Awesome IR-work! Do I understand this right, you took this shot in "color" mode, not nightshot-mode? - Thanks for your info!

For those who are interested... What I did to tone this is pretty simple, really. The shots as they come out of the camera are very red due to the R72 filter. When I adjust the levels in PS, the flora takes on a whitish cast, and everything else takes on a lighter red color. Then, I use the channel mixer to swap the Red and Blue channels (set blue channel to 0% blue and 100% red, then red channel to 0% red and 100% blue). Sometimes I also will adjust the color balance slightly to get what I am looking for. Hope this helps. Thanks for the comments! :)
