Les,

I also like the look of old buildings. I like your image here although it seems a bit soft but that might be intentional. Also if the window was centered a bit more I think it would have more impact. Nice job though.

Les,

My wife and I sometimes go and find these old abandoned houses, and we wonder what it was like the day the first family moved in? The history we find in the homes is amazing! Marks still on the door jambs from the childrens growth charts, little "I love You " letters etched into the wall. I love walking through these old homes. It gives me a feeling of melancholia to do this because I have to wonder what ever happened to cause the abandonment. Most of the time, the government bought out the homes for projects that never happened. Some we know of, as of the death of the wife and the suicide of the husband because he couldn't stand the thought of living any more without his mate. Les, I have enjoyed your trip also. Your shots have taken me away from this old computer and let my mind race to the families moving in on that first day, and the childrren plying for the first time in the new woods. The boys building their first fort behind the house, and the girls having their first tea party. The happy couple conceiving their children in the first home of their own.

Later my friend,

Russ

Thanks for the comments. The scanner I have use of is not the best quality and when I crop in PS the focus does get blurry. but
some thoughts come out. If you look at the light dot in the bottom window opening
(which comes from a hole in the wall inside looking out) and focus on it you get a different overview. OOOOOOOH!!!!
OR, maybe it is the eye of the one eyed hermitghost that lives in the house.
Pull the covers up a little tighter my friends
