Lovely hoar frost. Love the contrast between the white and red earth. I learn new stuff all the time on here, I would never have put together South Africa and frost/snow.
Great image. I love your use of mists/fog's/atmosphere in your images. Great stuff.

Lydia: not sure I'm really up to date, but having been here a while I can usually find my way around...
You should be able to find someone by name quite easily. Click on "photo critique" at the top of the page and you should see a box at the bottom of the lefthand panel that says "find member". Here, you can enter the name (or just part of the name) OR ID, and you will get a list of possibilities to choose from. EG. typing "lyd" came up with the list shown below. Hope it works!

Thanx, AJ - appreciate your honesty.
You seem to be up to date on matters UF - could you perhaps tell me how to search for a member - it seems as if one needs to know the User ID - I don't even know my own! - over the months I've jotted down names of my favourite members, but now I can't get hold of their portfolios again! Can you help please?

This is a spectacular effect created by the frost, and it looks wonderful against the blue sky and red earth. Personally I would prefer less "man-made" stuff in the picture (although the track is just fine...)

Amazing Shot Lydia. At first I thought this was IR...
Prefer this posting to the one with the dam...but yes, alittle more space in front would have been nice.

Thanks, Sarel - Appreciate your honest opinion. The reason why I cropped out the foreground originally, is the rather empty-looking dam on the right - I prefer the closer crop, although I must admit, I would have preferred a longer driveway leading into the scene, had it not been for the ol' dam. Do you still think this is an improvement?

Baie, baie mooi !!!This is absolutely beautyfull.
I can feel the cold crisp atmosphere ; even in the red soil underneath your feet, because i know this area very well.Fantastic colour.The white wagonwheels of the bench fits in perfectly.Also the gateway.Only one little thing in my pers. opinion though; I would have liked a bit more space in the front and maybe some to the right of the picture .
