About This is just a personal shot from last month at the health retreat my sister and I escaped to. It is an area of photography I am really keen to get invloved in. So here's a statement you can all hold me to...before the end of the year I will convince at least one architect to use me!

LOL. I was just inspired by your boast to 'get an architect to use me'.

I'm proud of ya, kid. Truly.
The ONLY thing better than shooting is someone that insists they PAY you for shooting.

haha, not the point..you said "You're on, Peta!
Let's see which one of us gets hired first. ;)"

Two women own the company I am shooting for by the way. So you can get it out of your head that I use my female charm to pick up work, thank you very much.

Hey, it was last May when you said 'before the end of the year'. So, when did you consummate the ...er, when did you convince him to ...use you?

LOL

...... Yes, my last comment was a tad VAGUE in the critique department. So.......... it's a very pretty shot, very professional looking, LOVE the beautiful, tempting blue and white combo (always a winner), LOVE the panoramic feature... I'm sure you'll get some work from this since you have the talent AND ambition (and one of the best digital camera's - Canon 5D - like your US mate here in his "Yank Tank" - lol) BUT..... I've ALWAYS said that about you love bug, from day one, back in the day........

...ummm, are we talkin' the end of the Aussie year, or the end of the American/Canadian year, or the end of the European year? Cause, like, you know we're all on different time zones and hemispheres and stuff like that so which one is it EXACTLY?

Peta, I can't think of an architect in his right mind that would pass-up "using" you! lol This is a tour de force of perfect exposure. The blue is tasty and the lounge chairs on the right are not too dark yet the ones on the left are not blown-out.......Brilliant shot dear!

.. yeah well I am still a bit peeved ya didn call me when you were in town..I think your jagged edges would be more like the downsize to UF stds wouldnt it... Have you seen this (and now for something completely different http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1301973) yeah nice clean shot... more water thatn masonry tho..looks a little sterile and cold

This shot is Fantastic I would have expected a lot more people to comment on this. It feels refreshing and alive and is very, very worthy to be used by any Architect! The use of color and lines is very effective...excellent work!

You should definitely persue this.

I like your composition a lot. Your exposure is good, as well. Be careful with your sharpening. Notice the jagged edges at the bottom of your screen, where the water meets the concrete? This of course has very little to do with photography, but more than ever before, post production can make or break an image.

All you architects better watch out, you're about to be hit by the Peta factor :-)

Beautiful capture Pete, the colours are great. I'm backing you in, as i've seen you work and you'll definitely get to where you want to go. cheers Jase
