Nick, I had suggested my own site, not this - scenic-route.com, under Photos, Reflections.

Hi Joe! Just for the record, I go to your page, http://www.usefilm.com/photographer/83709.html , then I click at the left on the link for your portfolio "Reflection (1)", and I get the message "Sorry, there are only 0 total pages in your selection! Please enter a page between 1 and 0 and try again.", though according to the number in parentheses says that there should be one photo there. But when I click on "Beach (6)" then everything works.
Strange, isn't it?

Yeah, this shot is pretty dynamic. I suppose each orientation will tell a slightly different tale.

"I try to get into your portfolios but I only get a message that there are no photos available. Any idea what that might mean?"

Strange. I don't know. I just looked and the thumbnails are displayed.
Maybe there's some system problem and the joke is on me - maybe I'm the only one with access to my photos?

Yes, it goes more "simple dizziness of water surface waves" when rotated, Doyle. Still the rotated version does have something. I really can't decide!
Oh boy, what a headache the orientation of an abstract can be! :-)
Best wishes and thanks a lot for the nice comment!

Thank you very much, James!
Well, rotating it diminishes the importance of the white zig-zag line but it does also add something more... dizzy to the photo. I can't really say which orientation I find better. Both seem to have their advantages :-/
Best wishes,
Nick

Hi Joe, and thanks a lot for your detailed comment!
You might laugh about the fact that I'll soon posting one photo with contrails and water. It doesn't look like a reflection, but it is still interesting, I think.
Thank you very much for the ideas, which I'll surely apply soon.
I try to get into your portfolios but I only get a message that there are no photos available. Any idea what that might mean?
Best wishes,
Nick

I like this one Nick. And I like it a lot! Very cool! I personally would NOT rotate it . . . it loses some of the abstract qualities when horizontal!

I like this one a lot. I would consider rotating it ccw into a landscape orientation.

Reflections can be interesting. As CC, I think this does have the look of a multiple-exposure though. If you wanted a simple reflected line, you might notice contrails if you're near an airport and also lake or beach. If you catch the tide out, the contrail alone might reflect in the runoff for a simple 'squiggly' line reflection. Other places are docks and marinas on a sunny day. The reflections look like paint on the water. (See my scenic-route.com Photos, Reflections for examples.)
