About I was out for dinner last night at a bistro where we were dining with friends. The tables were set with silk flower arrangements. This one caught my eye so I decided to record it with my point-and-shoot and see where it would take me.
Hand-held, low light, ISO 800 with NeatImage applied. Post processing included applying a swirl to the image and inverting the colors with a slight curve and contrast adjustment.

Thanks for the comments, Joe. I agree with your comment about the branches (lines) that distract.

Very strong abstract Jan, looks nothing like the original. Very nice compatible colour selection, very well processed to produce an interesting, attractive design. I wonder if I would remove those 3 lines coming down from the top. Not sure they add to the composition and are a little distracting, a nitpick I know. A real work of art my friend,
All the best,
Joe

Smooth and beautiful! I like the framing that "hold" on good to this festival of beautiful colours.
Best wishes

Thanks, Marian. I appreciate your comments. I thought I was a little too "out there" with the reverse colors so I am glad to hear that you like them.

Thanks so much for commenting, Doyle. Also note that the squirrel shot is gone.

Too much ambiguity and it is was a "three camp" picture:
Camp #1--Found humor in the "calling card"
Camp #2--Did not see or get the "calling card"
Camp #3--Saw the "card" and did not think it funny

If I post a two-camper I can live with that but three is just too much diversity in reaction for me. :) :)

Thanks and regards,
Jan

Very creative Jan . . . made a great concentric abstract image . . . not too bad for what had to be some very poor light conditions . . . It's working for me! (A lot more than the squirrel shot next to it)!! :P

Thanks, Asim. I appreciate the suggestion. A slight tweak on the brightness/contrast might have been called for to give the equivalent of one-stop down. This was shot in JPEG and not RAW which limited the exposure range that was captured in the original file. The point-and-shoot was using center weighted metering.

Thanks so much, Michele. I was not sure where I was going with this one until I started to visualize it without thinking about how it looked in its original form.
