I wonder what caused the reduction in the robin population in your area? Fortunately, there are still lots of them around here although I am sure they wish they had stayed south longer with the winter weather we are getting today.
Thanks very much for the comments.
All the best,
Joe

Sadly haven't seen any Robins for years here Joe... When I was a kid, we'd watch them line up on the back fence when we were eating breakfast... Red breasted Robins... Always so bright and cheery...:)))

Lovely feather detail Joe... and nice DoF...:)))

Thanks Jan for the feedback, I know what you say about it being contrasty with a slight colour cast. It was raining steadly when I was shooting this one. That might have something to do with it. I wanted to get a good shot of her mate who had a real bright orange breast but he wouldn't come close enough to me to get a good shot.
All the best,
Joe

Joe -- Excellent detail and color although a bit contrasty with a slight color cast; may be natural, not sure. These little guys are eating all my grass seed.

Thanks Dave, not sure if all the frost is out of the ground. There is still ice in the lake. Yesterday in the rain there were a lot of robins and black birds searching for worms and grubs.

Regards,
Joe

Great capture, Joe! The detail of the mud and rain on him is really good, as well as colour and feather detail. Nice to see he can scratch for worms, no frozen ground at your place!
Dave.
