No problem, Joe I guess my English is part of it,
Visually I see great weakness of color dynamic range, focality and sharpness, actually that reflect from Sigma, at this point I suggest the fallow experiment (1) Picture style choose Landscape, sharpness =1 the rest default (2) standard, sharpness (2) or 1= rest default, last I recommend to erase all settings and camera registrations that helps in case you have apply some setting that could interfered. It’s not advisable if you have complicate custom sets but you can always choose what to default.
For me picture style modes -white balance is my great experiment keys. Personally I shoot in manual mode and center weight, sometimes spot! + use 580EX with Roscolux gels for various light effect and trying to stay out from the PS dependant’s!
Hope all that helps :)

Thanks again for your comments Harry, I value your opinion and certainly do not consider your opinion's as ignorant. As you suggest, I suspect we have communication problem here related to the use of english.

I am curious as to what specific deficiencies you see in this image that degrades the capabilities of the 5D. Is it lack of sharp focus, digital artifacts resulting from PS or the CombineZ manipulations or some other issue? If I don't know I can't improve.

Best regards,
Joe

I take it back Joe, I guess my demanding
perfectionism on natural lighting,
had triggered my ignorant opinion!!! This particular work of light it degrades the superb capabilities of the 5D, any way disagree or not, always check the faith of the photographer’s commentaries, besides I will have avoid cropped leaf in this framed composition!
Harry
PS: sorry for my english:)

Hi Harry,
Thanks for your comments,
I not sure what you mean by "the 5D doesn’t really communicate with these particular lenses". Please elaborate.

All the best,
Joe
