I've been twice to Scotland.
Both very short trips, only 4 -5 days.
Before the first trip (in 2000) I browsed a "Lonely Planet" guidbook. There are lots of useful information but only a few pictures. I had no idea where to go so... chose the most beautiful castle, found instructions how to get there ... a coach from London to Inverness, a train from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh, by bus to Dornie...
It was Eilean Donan Castle :)
It is said that it is the most romantic castle and indeed looks great.
The weather wasn't that bad. It rained only few hours on that day ;)
I had a simple point&shot camera so my shots were also simple but then it was a time when i started thinking about "more serious photography".
Lucky you to see the castle in the sunlight :)

Very nice shot... If it is the one near the Kyle of Lochalsh it is very difficult to get a good angle to shoot from but you managed it...

I like to take photos of castle and even if you don't like, you took a very good shot: a good tone and contrast. The composition is nice but in my opinion it's too simply.

very nicely composed Adam, nicely balanced. nice light and color saturation. and of course, I always like a nice cloudy sky.
only little thing is that the castle feels a little tilted, maybe its just me however ;)
