I find a strong contrast between the subject and the background. This, together with harsh but very well managed lighting contributes to give an intense dramatic mood to this portrait.

excellent first picture Justyna; a good pose, nice model, great tonal range and BW convresion, however a simple backgroung and even less DOF would be better; good picture nonetheless....txules
