Definitely using a tripod, but at -20C it's not at its optimum. There's not enough light on the backside of the porch for a better aperture, and I was having fits about the sharpness on some of these. Then I had a real close look at the patterns themselves: they've been degraded a bit by the sunlight, so they aren't physically tack sharp to begin with. Shot some more this afternoon, but I'm disappointed that the colour of the paper propped up behind them didn't come through. If they're still out there tomorrow I'll go freeze my fingers and toes off again and give it another try.

Don't know which in the series I like most. Hope you're shooting this with a tripod and that at they have the sharpness indicated on my screen... You could make a really interesting series and have this printed as part of your card collection. Really well done Chelsea!!!

This is just fantastic Chelsea!! Like ferns made from ice!! Wonderful work!! I would consider add this to the patterns in Nature Project!!!! 7/7

Another neat frost pattern, Chelsea... Makes me wish I had some frost growing on my windows too!! Keep on shooting them (and posting!!) Cheers, Gary

This is very beautiful and very creative, so well exposed photograph of a macro, sharp and very colorful.
