Those white spots would be lens flare, I think. Pointing the lens towards the sun, even as low as it was, can produce them.

wonderful colors!!! a marvelous sunrise dear Rose!!!!! (as for the whites sometimes they are created by flash.... do not know if you used flash in this one though....)
