Somehow the pure white contrasting with the deep crimson appeals to me, Mary. Thanks for the stop. Anson

Such light and clarity. Beautiful to capture the delicate patterns in white alongside the red warmth and texture. Gorgeous to see Anson

Glad this blossom meets the Giuseppe seal of approval. I credit the color response of the Fuji Fine Pix camera with some of the attractiveness of this one. Regards. Anson

Anson, what a beauty! Excellent all: first the simplicity, then angle and composion, then the well matching colours, the extraordinary texture ... all. In my fav. of course. (New flowers of magnolia! Lucky you!).
Ciao.

Thanks, Leo. This blossom was somewhat difficult to photograph because it was curled up onto itself. A 28 mm macro lens did the trick. Regards. Anson

Our Japanese magnolias are blooming about a month early, so decided to try one of them. Thanks for the visit and always look forward to your images. Anson

Ecellant macro Anson! Particularly like the center, as the colors really stand out...and the veining in the petals. Regards--Bill Voizin
