Great expression and well catched. The framing adds up to the funny look she is giving us. I just regret that her lens is cutting part of her left eye.

Now, I like your vignette also... Really adds an OOMPHHH!!!... :) Not that it needs much at all... You have a very stunning neice... :)
However, how about maybe the matt a slightly softer tone so that the brim showed, had more definition, and you regained that less *hemmed in* feeling that Gary was talking about...
Would work very well in B&W... with the dark brim of the hat showing against a lighter mid to dark tone matt...
Regardless Dave... I like this... :)

Thanks, Gary. I am not at all a fan of people pictures, especially family. Just ask them. But for whatever reason, I just took a couple of holiday snapshots and "played" with them last night for something different than my usual.

I prefer the original Dave. But I should confess I'm not a big fan of heavy frames. With the vignette she appears to be hemmed in and the original has given her portrait space to 'breathe'. The hat really suits her!
