Thanks for the thought out comment, John. I used a Wratten 89B filter, one of the thin ones from Kodak. I plan to reshoot this one tomorrow if the clouds hold out. Nice clouds make for a better B/W image I have found. Come back again. Anson
Nice "feel" to this unique composition Anson, (which is an accomplishment with I/R color). Your lack of cloud cover is not necessarily a "bad thing". Had your skies darkened, it would have been more of an issue but the wisps are clearly present. Nice texture and contrast of weathered wood and geometry of the tree. (which filter was used for this 10sec exposure?)-john
I thought I felt a small earth tremor a few minutes ago, and now I know what caused it. Giuseppe came out of the flower garden! I feel almost at a loss of words with your first IR critique, Giuseppe. I like this picture too, but would have liked it better if the clouds had held before I got there. Missed them completely. But thanks for such a nice comment Giuseppe. I value it greatly, coming from an accomplished photographer as yourself. Many regards to you, my friend. Anson
Well Anson, I usually have not a great feeling about infrared pictures but this is special. The big tree is powerful and cast a very dramatic mood over the cabin helped by the shade and the color of the sky. It is the first infrared that I comment Ansn. Cheers.
