The lighting could be lower, I like that you can see the hairs, but I think the lighting is washing a bit of the green away....beautiful angle.

You know, Sheila had given me her method for a similar shot but I just couldn't get what I wanted so . . . here's how I did it:
I pulled the weed from near the ground and held it against the camera body with the stem following along the lens. Looking upward through the viewfinder . . . I stumbled around here and there until I could find a pleasing combination of BG and light (the light was speckled with shadows of leaves from a nearby tree) . . . -click- viola!!

I like the minimal DOF and the lighting. great choice for rear lighting, it leaves a great impact over the feel of you shot, I like it more than usual Sun flower sots with lots of them in back or fore ground...

Thanks AJ! Thanks to the DOF . . . I get to choose the focus of the image . . . and prefered the hairs and backside to the petals which seem more common. It's like a take-off of the old Outer Limits Show . . . I control the focus! Do Not Attempt to Adjust Your Monitor . . . Heheheheee
I think I like the new framing too . . . thanks for noticing. Also, I'm guessing you didn't forget to add the "7/7" comment . . . uhhhhh . . . not an oversight as it were. That's cool. I mean . . . OK, I've finally caught up with my own backlog and made it to your latest upload.
I really like the rich colours in this, and the light in the "hairs". Nice use of DOF, although I would prefer to see the sharpest area on the yellow petals - it seems to me that none of the petals is really sharp, and yet these are is the natural focus of the image.
I also like your current framing theme.
