About	This is an often photographed viewpoint in Cathedral Grove on Vancouver Island. I had hoped to catch the rays of light refracted through the mist. Unfortunately, it has been dry and the air clear of moisture. The scale of the trees is not obvious - some are up to 9 metres in circumferance and up to 800 years old. Taken at 17mm.

What I like more in the photo, Eb, is the playing of shadows and lights, spetially in the right side.

Thanks,, Dave! Blue sky it was with very little rain this summer. Unusual! When walking the trails through here, one would be followed by a little dust cloud kicked up by the footsteps.
