About
This is my small tribute to all the men and women who lost their lives during war in recent times; an Armistice Day (11:00hrs 11th November) mark of respect and a symbol of freedom.
I have tried to portray the memory of the lost soles with the ghost of the spitfire flying in formation with those lucky enough to return home.
The legendary Spitfire World War II Fighter plane's 70th Anniversary. (Designed by, Reginald Joseph (RJ) Mitchel.)
This compilation of 2 photographs was taken on the 5th March 2006, at 16:30 hours, exactly 70 years after the spitfires first flight out of Southampton airport.
At the time the photographs were taken they were involved in the re-enactment celebration of the spitfire's maiden flight all 5 spitfires flew in formation over the skies around Southampton.
An excellent photoart creation with a wonderful placement of the Spitfires in the body of the background aeroplane. Well done to you Roger, an excellent piece of work. Sorry to be late commenting but I am finding less and less time for getting onto UF these days.....I always catch up on my friends, which includes giving you a ring....SOOOOOOON! My very best wishes to you both.....Ray:)
