This is wonderful, Anson. Thge vibrant colours and streaming water draw me right into the interior of your image. A couple of the rocks even resemble arrowheads pointing the way. The misty background portrays the feeling of an Autumn evening. Lovley. MAry

Wowwww, this is so beautiful! Love the colours. It's a very nice view of the river and a pretty peaceful spot. The light and motion blur of the running water are great too. Well done!!! Emgy

I went back to the RAW data in the camera, Andre, and I stand corrected again. The shutter speed here was 0.6 sec and the aperture was f/22. A little longer than I had thought. If I were redoing this I would have chosen about 0.3 sec to show a little more texture to the moving water. But whatever blows your skirts up! Anson

Hi Anson, The only reason I noticed that you had posted 1/60 sec on this one is because I wanted to see how you got the image looking so good :) I was planning to do a few like this myself and wanted to copy the shutter speed. Then I thought that it sounded a bit fast for that kind fo milky look. I'll try a few later on at a nearby creek with 1/3 and 1/2 etc. and see how they come out. Thanks fo letting my know. Andre

Glad you like this one too, Mary. I value your opinion greatly. It may become one of my favorites. My best to you and the horses. Anson

You are too kind with your words, Alex, and I do appreciate them coming from such a landscape artist as yourself. This image was shot right at sunset, with overcast skies, with a shutter speed of 1/3 sec (I was wrong in my table), and the camera on a tripod. I like this one too, and will print it when we return to Florida. Your "Early Snow" shot is a masterpiece. Thanks for stopping and commenting, Alex. Anson

As you can see, Giuseppe, we are a little late getting up here in the mountains since many of the brightly colored leaves are already on the ground, but still much of the color is there. I always look forward to your comments, and still have to take a better look at your vacation images, Giuseppe. Regards, my friend. Anson

You are right, Andre, this image was shot at 1/3 sec and f 18 under very overcast conditions, giving the "milky" effect you noticed; got it confused with another. Didn't have the luxury of trying much in the way of other speeds, since I was losing the light at dusk very fast. Plan to go back next week and do some more. Thanks a bunch for stopping, looking, and commenting. I always enjoy your landscapes, but then you have such great subject matter. Anson

Thanks for the visit to this photo and the generous comment. This river is one of the untouched rivers in the US and simply outstanding. I only shot about 6 frames here and this one was the best composition. Anson

Anson, Absolutely beautiful photo. Perfect Composition and Exposure. The fog in the distance, really give the image a true sense of depth.
Excellent work!

Beautiful! The fall is not only on the leaves, is in the foggy air, in the stones and the mood. There is a splendid atmosphere, Ansom. Good weekend!.

A beautiful fall image Anson! I was expecting this to have an even slower shutter speed. I guess that creek is running fairly fast! Whatever, you certainly captured a nice "milky" effect in the stream! Did you try different speeds to see how they looked as well? Great job! Andre
