So rich and warm. To clearly see each petal touching another makes me learn the fine difference in colour shade of each!

Thanks for the encouraging critique, Francisco. You have an excellent eye for composition yourself, and I value your comments. This is somewhat of an experiment for me, so thanks for the visit and the thoughtful insight. Anson

Very interesting crop, there is so much colour and detail that it almost it becomes a wonderful purple abstract. The eye cannot stop examining the intricacies of the petals in admiration of the juxtapositions of their silky purple and white tissues. Vibrant, vivid, full of life and the smell of the vanishing Summer.
Love it!

I like this color combination, too, Nicola. Don't see daisy mums with green centers very often. Thanks for stopping and commenting. Anson

I have to agree, Cleveland, about the size of the subject here being too large. I am trying to break out of the mindset of just one or two blooms in my composition, so this is somewhat of an experiment. I thought about burning in the edges after I had posted it; a little late. I had worked for some time on just the bottom two flowers and got nowhere, so expanded the field a little. I really appreciate your very thoughtful and comprehensive comments, Cleveland. It helps me with making my images better. Regards. Anson

Anson, this is a great idea, and you have composed it fairly well. Good color, focus but might just be a bit too much. IMHO I would crop down to just include the two bottom flowers, if you have more room at the bottom it would be nice to see all of the two flowers, however, this might not be possible, as you know, being ther artist, what you were including in the composition. Might even try to burn in the edges of the image, these are just my ideas and my opinions. I am still learning what it is all about. Good image, though.
