About Demonstration of the old fashioned way of plowing at a Draught Horse Festival.
Slightly tricky shot to grab. All those tourists were in my way! LOL!

Thank you Yoshiyuki my friend!

I did use colour for other shots at this festival, but never on the horses... you are right. It wouldn't work!

Warmest Wishes,
Aniko :)

Love those horses, Aniko!!! great movement in their heavy legs and bodies. The tonality works magnificently with the subject. It might not be that impressive in colour! Good choice here!

Ummm... yeah Dave...

But how long ago did they wear those shades? LOL! It is the only thing that has ever bothered me about this image... otherwise it would almost pass for a "real" old era shot...

Thanks for your interest and comment, my sweet.

Hugs,
Ani :)

Most excellent, young lady. You did very good in getting those tourists out of the photo and in return, you got a photo that reeks of depression-era America. So antiquish!

Of course, the guy with the Aussie bush hat could be explained away as a recent immigrant... LOL

Hugs,
Dave

Thank you Mary.

You might recall the image of the youngster... well... she was watching this very demonstration. One of the horses is her mother :)

Warmest Wishes my friend,
Aniko :)

Wonderful image- just beautiful and so natural horses. Real and tough and atmospheric.

I did whack 'em in the head with the long lens Bek! How do you know these things??? ROFL!

I am also real fond of all horses and any farming activities (being a bit of a farmy gal myself... lol...)

Thanks for your kind comments on this shot, I have a few more. They might need a little work in PS though. I posted this as it is "straight", hand printed and I like it best I think.

Cheers!
Ani :)

Just whack 'em in the head with a long lense Ani..LOL, no, no better not. I love draught horses, the size of their hooves amazes me! Perfect in B+W, and such a dusty feel. I would love to see you at the farming expo here with the chainsaw carvers, there work is brilliant, but too many people around watching also, you would have to bring a ladder!!
cheers, Bek;)
