i lived in the north of canada when i was a child. and even when we moved back south, you could still see the northern lights on the prairies. i do miss them, havent seen them in years now, and this photo makes me miss those cold wintery nights even more.

Beautiful work! I’ve never seen aurora before! Its on my list of things to do before im 40!
Great framing excellent use of available light,The fish eye effect is superb!
And the small wave just makes it all perfect! your landscape images really stand out!

I have so very much enjoyed looking at your fabulous shots. They are marvelous. I do htink this is a favourite of mine. The sky and horizon colouring is not as we would see it while watching an aurora display, which adds interest to the picture. To see Arcturus in such a bright sky seems strange. The curtains of light are indeed lovely accentuated with the big Dipper and clouds. Beautiful composition.

This is an amazing phenomenon, I have heard about these lights but never experienced them. They must feel eerie. I especially like the stars. The foreground is beautiful in its own right. Well done. CC

Yes indeed lovely! The clouds really help me see how high the action is here. Like the slow exposure waves on the shore line too!
