About Something a bit different this time. I went over to one of the local motorway bridges the other night and experimented with some long exposures to see what would happen.

This was one of the results. I quite like the effect. :)

Hiya Doyle,

Thanks for your comment! I agree about the branches, I thought they offset the photo quite well. That, plus the fact that I couldn't have shot round them or over them anyway. ;)

Take care, SQirl

I really like this. It is so strong and so definite. The colours and the diagonal lines brilliant.

Very nice SQirl! I like the effect too and the silhouetted branches and foliage add a nice accent. The somewhat diagonal composition of the light trails and the glow the long exposure gave to the street lights are very nice; the image is nicely done and pleasing . . . Cool!
:)

Hi Ali,

Thanks, glad you like the shot. :)

I tried a variety of different exposures while I was experimenting, but I'm pretty sure I used a 30-second exposure on this one. Any shorter than that, and I found there wasn't enough traffic to give the "full" light effect. The light trails were slightly shorter and not as bright.

Hope this helps. :)

All the best, SQirl
