I did comment here Joggie (now twice!).. though UF seems to have blocked it... maybe it was my reference (in jest I may add) that this photo would give me nightmares!!!!

Colorful insect. Was this shot at night? It seems to have good detail on the eyes. That's right in focus.
And it makes for an abstract photo, of color patches.
But then it seems to be getting color fringing/aberrations in red and blue, some loss of range in the orange/red. I assume there is detail in the original to sharpen various areas, if you wished to - so no comment on that. And the light seems concentrated more behind the head, somehow.

OMG... I've seen some close up & Macro shots before I thought got a bit tooo close for comfort... this though... Wins by a mile!!!!!
I can't believe how much detail I can make out here.. those eyes!!! magnificent (though this is another photo seen tonight I will be having nightmares about... lol)
Right... gonna keep a can of bug spray next to my bed tonight just in case... & a great capture Joggie... well done x
