You must have had a lot of fun while making this shot. It feels as if you had to act quick before she disappeared (again) and showed up at the other side of the tree giggling at you.
Nice shallow DoF and the backlight makes her stand out from the background. Well done.

I can't believe that there was another image of this beautiful little girl and to top it off this one is FANTASTIC.

The B & W tones look so warm and rich. The sunlight is still shining in the image on her hair and it looks great. I like the fact that the sun isn't at the top of her head like your previous post, but in this case it's at her shoulers and looks perfect to provide just enough lighting.

The joy in her facial expression is priceless. She is one adorable little girl. Just beautiful.

The tree is less apparent in this photo which shows more of what the image is about "April". I believe that's her name.

I would love to see this image in color. Hopefully you will re-post it again.

One of the best child portraits I have seen. 7+!

Thank you, thank you.
For me this is the better of the two images. It is a softer image without having lost any of its punch. The skin tones are delightful and the hotspots on the hair do not detract from our enjoyment. In this image you have made much less of a feature of the tree and much more of that big, big personality.

Perfect dof ensures plenty of detail in this gorgeous face, with no background distractions

You have captured so much life in her eyes and her face, children's portraiture doesn't get much better than this. Cathy
