This is a beautiful image. I hope you don't mind if I ask some questions. How do you set up a shot like this? shutter speed, aperture etc. What does desaturating do?

I am yet to get a successful result photographing water, they are always too pale. I must admit finding running water in this country after 5 years of drought is a challenge. I am hopeful.
