About I was playing with the settings on my DSLR and ended up taking this shot. I thought the contrast of postures was rather, um, revealing. I am quite glad that the young lady on the left is partially hidden by her mobile phone. Do you this kind of photography is acceptable? Or should such photos NEVER be taken? This is a fisheye shot but completely "defished."

Grazie, Salvatore!

I visited your Usefilm address but you haven't got any photos there yet. I look forward to seeing your work.

It is good she is hidden behind her phone. She certainly would not find this a very flattering picture.

This shot grabbed my eye immediately. I guess it is the human interest that it brings out as well as the unaware perspective of your prospective models. It really represents the concerns of self that we all seem to exhibit and the total obsession that skews our vision of the external ultimately.
I am guessing you took this as a hip shot and hoped for the best. My favorite style of shot in these situations.
Excellent choice, and a good opportunity.

Don't take offense of mark comment. I agree I would have placed it too. It brings indeed a smile.

Thanks, Rob. I think you put your finger on the dubious aspect of this photo. But I take so few "people" photos, and most of them are no good, that I couldn't bring myself to discard or not show this one, which has a certain something about it that at least brings a smile... No?

Technically a perfect photo and fantastic colors. It is decent but fringes the level of indiscretion in my opinion. It would have been acceptable if the proportions of the body were normal and not exaggerated.

Great candid :) I think it is acceptable, as long as you don't ridiculise people, which isn't the case here. I think the young ladies would be quite pleased with it.

Thanks, Thilo. I risked a shot because they seemed so engrossed in their mobile phones... The fisheye effect here has been transmuted into a more acceptable ultrawide effect as I thoroughly "defished" it using Nikon Capture 4.4.

Hi Roger,

I like the spy element here and I have no problems with the fish eye look.

good one.

what a great shot, roger, such an interesting juxtaposition of two very different postures. i think it'd be ok, since they are covered up. it is really the feet i am looking at - SO different!!

It's a great shot and a great social commentary. The "women only" poster adds a touch of humour.

Is it acceptable? Well, in my opinion it probably is, though in general that may depend on the intention. I imagine the women could be somewhat upset if the came across this image by chance published somewhere...

Well I think this is entirely acceptable my dear Roger as her assets are still under decent control:):) I must say that the other young lady has the most wonderful long legs that I swear must reach her armpits:):) Well done my friend a great spicy chance shot. All the best.....Ray

Great shot! I think it's interesting (and kind of sad) to see people everywhere just staring at their mobiles instead of interacting with each other. This captures that nicely.
And it would be perfectly acceptable for America, but I don't know about other cultures.

Thank you for the encouragement, Matej! I was rather pleased at the way the wide angle emphasized those legs... The poster warns people that this carriage (the first or last depending on the direction the train is going) is reserved for women at the morning and evening rush hour, and on the late-night trains in which there are so many drunks! (Some men ignore the posters, though...)

Yes, perfectly acceptable.

What is the 'women only' poster about?
