Wow Dave this is lovely, the thumbnail doesn't do it justice...excellent view with very beautiful colors and mood. I would love to see this kind of thing in person, the whole era is just mind boggling for me...beautifully captured and presented!!

Pretty spectacular Dave. I like the way you alligned the cieling with the bottom of the shot. Very crystal clear, and so beautiful. Colours are supberb and you nailed the exposure, a real treat to see. Best regards. Hope you had a good visit in Ottawa and your're right, Monarchs are all over the place.

Beautifully captured Dave my friend and indeed a true feast. I have seen many of these ceilings and they never cease to amaze me. Wonderful colour tones and incredible detail from what I imagine was an available light source. Well done to you. Those of us who have not had the pleasure of being there, appreciate the image. When we were in Paris, The only thing I saw of the Louvre was a quick glimpse from a tour boat.
