About I want to be like Marcus when I grow up. So I shoot everything that flies. :)

Actually, this is an old photo from when I first got my 30D in 2003. Just came across it and reevaluated it. I liked the little curving wake this guy was making and his reflection.

Hey! Look at all the exposure I give these birds, many a famous bird got his start from a random shot taken by a bird photographer. If a bird Is going to call itself a bird then it Damn well better be able to fly, Not just stand there!

Dont be fooled these bird try to pull the wool over you eyes every chance they get! pretending to catch a mouse only to drop it before you can get a shot off then laughing while pooping on your car. sitting perched for a hour only to fly off the one second you take your eye from the viewfinder.

I want to know how these birds sleep at night LOL.
Mine is a thankless job to be like me would be to live a life of missery! Thanks for you support DAVE LOL I may never shoot another feather friend again (tears flowing).

Marcus says: "One time I shot a animal that didnt fly! I think it was a ostrich"

Marcus, you should be ashamed of yourself. You use these beautiful creatures to make money and the admiration of your photog friends and then you blast them away with your big he-man guns like they mean nothing?

Nevermind, I don't think I want to be like Marcus anymore. How do you sleep at night???

:)

A beautiful image with perfect color and a nice silky surface of gentle ripples on the water. I wanna be like Marcus now . . . there may not be enough time to wait for me to actually grow up! :)

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

I dont know if thats a complement or not LOL. One time I shot a animal that didnt fly! I think it was a ostrich, I didnt know it couldnt fly at the time :), but seriously this is a wonderful compostition the slightly dark lighting on the female malard against the nice placid water with the slight ripples and reflection looks excellent! These are the photos I actually want to take more of, as there is more to the scene then just a bird and a take it or leave it background, and has a much more natural look.
Really Nice Dave.

It is a simple but awesome shot. The color balance is very pleasing. The composition has a wonderful quiet quality. :) Andree

LOL, Dave, so do I!! When ever I have tried to take a photo of a bird in flight, I only get the last third of the bird in the frame! LOL

Ducks are pretty safe - they don't really go anywhere fast!

You've captured this one well, Dave! Great presentation!

Cheers

Phil

Precioso patito...parece sacado de los cuentos...los arcos en el agua, el color, los reflejos.. una fantástica composición. Felicitaciones!

Lol! Yeah, everyone wants to be like Marcus!

Agree with you, the reflection and the flowing lines and the curves of the duck is visual rhythm as they say in this course i'm taking.
