Here I am aLi, busy trying to catch up from my work, as usual. A big WELCOME BACK to you my dear friend, you have been missed. I think it was study and exams that took you away from us so I hope that everything went well for you.

This is a great conversion to mono tones my good friend and your attachment of words and the beautiful internal composition with gorgeous colour tones and amazing detail is a stunning bonus. First of all, the Vang Church; a wonderfully composed shot aLi and of great interest in that it is of Christian origin that is heavily influenced by the beautiful Islamic architectural styles. Wonderful light and shadow play beneath a moody atmospheric sky. You should have posted the internal shot seperately my dear friend, the symmetry is awesome from this wonderful perspective. The colours and details are superb and the lighting is even and truely excellent. Well done to you my dear aLi and again, it is great 'seeing' you back amonst us. My very best wishes to you as always......Ray

Well as a matter of fact it's not my shot.. I should have noted but I forgot.. they didn't let no one take pictures from the inside.. don't know why.. maybe they were afraid of flashes !! anyway many thanks for stoppin by and for the comment.. I'm gonna go check out your portfolio..
Take care..

Brilliant you are back aLi! Hope the exams went well for you. This is a wonderful picture. I always find churches so atmospheric. The lighting and angle here I like. That sky is wonderful. To read and see the inside- the colours and details amazing.

Beautiful shot rendered very well in B&W. The sky helped out with nice tones and clouds and the composition is perfect. Very impressive use of perspective and great focal clarity. Nice work my friend and welcome back!

A little about the church:

Vang Church - Constructed in 1655, this amazing church is beautiful both from the inside and out. Though the Vang or Vank Church (right) was completed fully by 1664, major parts of it have been renovated and rehabiliated since. There are very many intricate paintings and murals on the ceilings and alcoves of this church depicting Christian scene. The artwork dates back to when the church was first built. The church design has also been influenced by the surrounding Mosque-style architecture with reflective domes and mediterranean blue influences so prevalent in Islamic art. In addition to the majestic cathedral, there is also a library and museum for visitors to enjoy.
