great shot, and very difficult as also looks like there wasn't soooooo good lighted day...cloudy I think... but you freeze the moves excellently! I see that at the dust that the animals blose ups, so well detailed!!!
About the focus it is great on the man - horse but not so at the frondground and I think you must try to use a bit smaller aperture and also increase the ISO speed, 30D is great camera and it can do that very easily using ALSO very fast exposure as you already done here...anyway it's an amazing image, especialy for me as that subject is not something that I can see...except in photos of others and TV! :-D
