About Billy Smart, living on and from waste sites for the past 16 years or more. While taking photos and discussing the conditions on the waste dump, Billy sat and talk about his life of despair while verybody else was running frantically to collect as much as possible from the latest truck dumping old vegetables. It was as if time stood still for me and him while around us the world kept turning . . Wating for nobody!

For the low angle I placed the D70 on my shoe at ground level, aiming upwards on gut feeling and allow the autofocus to take control. Uncropped, desuturated in PS, sharpened and adjusted contrast.

Joggie, truly an inspire decision you made on the photo angle! In the thumbnail, I was not sure about the crop into the head, but it is not a problem in the large version. The background movement and the scale/perspective is priceless. I suppose printing b&w adds to the journalistic effect. Good story!
