Thanks Chad, that is correct the white tones are in fact distractive.

Great macro shot. I suggest you eliminate the bright areas in the background, they are somewhat of a distraction. I dont know if cropping the image is the correct solution here because it will effect the composition. I would darken those areas in a photo editing program.
