Thanks John, I had to wait for a while, and did this shot at 200 mm and a distance from no more than 1,5 meters. It worked out just fine I think.

Thanks for visiting and commenting my picture Avi, I saw some of your comments in portfolios of other UF friends and members. I'm happy you're impressed by my work, it is not neccesary, cause it's like you said simple and frank, and glad you saw that.
Maybe you saw that I don't like to much PS work on my photo's because I like to be honest, and not change bad pictures into good ones. What you see is what I took, only framing, but that is about all the PS work I do.
Thanks again for your comment, and I'll visit your portfolio when I have a little bit more time.
Lot of work last week so less time for the hobby.

You're right Nil, it was worth it, one moment there were about seven at one meter from my camera, but at the shutterclick they were even sooner gone as they came.

nice lil'l cutie bird! great colors, DOF and clearity...your image is so sharp and detailed...as i was reading comments on this pic, remembered that famous story "Little Prince" by "Antonie de Saint Exupery" and the part about domestication and the way he had to behave toward his vixen to make her domestic...have u read it?

I'm glad you liked this photo Laura, indeed, always be patient, especially with birds. There is not so much place to pick in my "very small" garden, and when you move an inch, they're all gone. So patience is required.

Thanks for your visit and comnent dear Mohammad, we (my wife and I) love them too, and all kinds of other animals too. When you're giving them food every day, they start to know you after a while,and you'll see, very often the same birds come to your garden, when you do it on regular times, they know it as well, and after a while they are waiting for you.
I'm glad you liked this one.

Good shot of the sparrow. The colors and details are very good. You have to be patient. Pick your place, before your wife goes out to feed the birds, then... you can snap happily! lol

Nice work dear Klaas,
I love birds and I feed them too, but they don't like me to see them like feeding, so I left their food at night on my window ledge and they eat their food at early morning,
they are lovely,
