Hi Doyle, That's one of the things I'm trying to weigh - RAW or JPG. But what you've said makes perfect sense and does add to benefit of using raw. I just need to be patient with my work flow if I shoot in Raw. I really appreciate your comments, thank you.
Stunning shot . . . hard to believe only 37 views for this! Well composed, tack sharp and a great DOF. If you shoot in RAW which the Nikon can do . . . I might have stopped the exposure down a tad to lose the blow-out in the white . . . but Wow . . . this is one great shot!
Hi Tony! Thanks for your comments! Just learning aboout photography with a DSLR gives me a new found respect for film shooter, not that I didn't have any before, but I just didn't realize the amount of work entailed both creative and technical to be able to shoot and get great shots with film. My hat off to you!
I'm also learning to use Photoshop, I previously just edited my work with Picasa, but realized it doesn't give enough flexibility to draw out the ooomph in my photos.
Awsome shot Jinggoy. This is a great stop action photo. The tiger photo of mine you asked about, if any post work was done on it. Yes I did saturate the color a little bit. I used a basic program that came with my computer. But I would recommend PHOTOSHOP if you want to do any post work on your photos. I only do minor touch ups and slight color changes on my photos. I like to show my photos as they are originaly. I think when people use computer progams to make there photos better it takes the skill out of photography. You have some really good shots, good luck.
