I had a similar crop to yours in this other shot: http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1101241, which I posted last week, but decided to go wider with this one. I love the tones in your version. I had been afraid of going darker, because she already has such an intense gaze, and I didn't want to make the photo more ominous, but I can see that it gives a warmer feel. Thanks again for your input.
This is a pretty little girl. I like the little lights in her eyes and the natural feel of the shot. It is not a posed shot but she is just there...
Personally, i should have chosen another angle (either more to the front or more to the side). In your image, her foot is a bit distracting. Some post processing might also make the image stand out more. I made some adjustments in PS to demonstrate it. I changed the midtones to a slightly lower value, i toned the image and sharpened it a bit.
